currently link up {v.3}

Kale is saying hello in German this week. Our house has been taken over by EuroCup2012.
I'm really happy to co-host our third 'currently' link-up with Wendy from This Amazing Day! We couldn't be happier with the number of people that have been participating and are having a great time reading all your posts.

The low-down: Use our themes, use your own themes - just tell us what you're "currently" up to! This week our themes are: working on, dreaming of, planning, thinking about, and obsessed with. If you'd like to let us know what someone else is currently up to - your child, your partner, your grandma - we like that too!

Please remember to add your link at the bottom so we can find you, and copy and paste the button code into your post so others can find us! Also, be sure to visit the other participants and say hello!

Kale is currently....

Working on a special father's day craft at school. It's a surprise so I'll you know on Sunday what it is. I'm hoping Kris takes better care of it than I did the potted plant Kale made for Mother's Day (#momfail).

Dreaming of the cat. Cutting trees. Watching "moo-bies" (movies). We know what is Kale is dreaming of because he talks about it all night in his sleep.

Planning a trip on a boat. The last time Kale was on a boat he was probably three months old. He doesn't have any books about boats. We don't watch any shows about boats. I really don't think he knows what a boat is. Yet he often tells me he is going for a trip on his boat. Guess what kiddo? Our city is landlocked. Good luck.

Thinking about our neighbour's tree that fell during a storm and was later cut down completely by some city workers. He talks about it at least 26 times a day and every time he tells us the story, he's just as excited as the first time he told it. His memory astounds me.

Obsessed with lawnmowers. Every time he hears one we he MUST find it and screams "CUTTING GRASS! CUTTING GRASS! CUTTING GRASS!" until we do. I bet people without two years old obsessed with lawnmowers barely even notice the sound when a neighbour is out there giving their green a trim. Let me tell you - people are cutting their grass more often than you might think.....

Randalin is currently....

Working on my new blog series 'Two Years of Attachment Parenting." I finally wrote my first post this week and have seven more planned. Don't be surprised if Kale is 8 by the time I'm finished.

Dreaming of the day I don't have to drive across town four times a day to drop off and pick up Kale. School is done in a week and then he has 8 weeks of summer camp (at his school). In September he'll be starting a new school that is a block from our house and close to my office. I have been doing this driving back and forth thing since September and as much as I love seeing Kale at lunch, I am SO OVER the driving.

Planning our camping trip next weekend with Bianca, Keith & Cole from Not Your Average Ferris Wheel! Bianca and I have been best blog buddies for two years and Cole and Kale are BFF's that just don't know it yet (same goes for Keith and Kris!). We are super excited to spend a few days with them camping in New York - our first time camping in a different country!!

Thinking about my summer vacation in August. I have two weeks off and Kris will have one of those weeks off so we're planning to do some camping. The other week Kale and I can do whatever our hearts desire. What would you do with an entire week off with  your two year old? We need ideas!

Obsessed with Mad Men! I know, you're tired of me talking about it. Don't worry - last night was the season finale and so I'll say no more until next season. But what now?! I NEED A SHOW!! Suggestions?!? My preference is something with a few seasons already completed so I can obsessively watch episode after episode. Before Mad Men, I did Downton Abbey, so I'm kind of on a period piece kick. I don't do sci-fi or reality, and I'm more of a HBO girl than a ABC/NBC/CBS one. Annnnnnd.....GO!

  3. Have you watched any of PBS's Foyle's War? It's got many seasons in the archives now, so if you like it there is a lot of it for you to like. It's a police/detective drama set in a small English town during WWII. It's got the best theme song ever (IMHO)!

  5. I want to be your best blog buddy - move to the Okanagan so Kale can go on all the boat rides he desires. As an added bonus: due to the high price of water and hot temps lots of people xeriscape which means there is much less lawn mowing. I however love green grass and the smell of it being cut... I also love camping, blogging and listening to toddler stories on repeat (oh and long walks on our MANY beaches). xo. I've started my currently post just will Gabe to nap ;)
