InstaFriday {on a Saturday}

My absolute favourite app on my iPhone is definitely Instagram (username: Randalin)! Not only do I love to see pics of everyone's daily lives, but I love going through looking back at all our photos on there. Kris's mom also uses Instagram and when she's watching Kale in the afternoon, I love being able to see what they're up to. Same goes for Kris when they are having some man time together. 

I definitely take more photo's on the weekends when our lives are a bit more exciting, but I've also been trying to put down the phone and pick up my Nikon more often. I borrowed a couple pics from Kris's stream for this post, so let's take a look! 

Top left - Kale holds a "very hungry caterpillar" for the very first time! See the double chin? This is Kale's concentration face.

Top middle - Our friend's Michelle and Stuart and their daughter Audrey came over for dinner last weekend. Don't they look good with two kids?? We tried to trade our non-sleeping through the night 2 year old for their sleeping through the night 14 month old, but it was a no-go.

Top right - Kale was very interested in me painting my toe nails and asked if I could paint his. I was very surprised at how still he stayed and the fact that he actually let them dry. He also pointed out "my toe nails painted!" to everyone and anyone for the rest of the week. He was pretty excited about it.

Middle left - Kale fell asleep while nursing, which rarely happens anymore. A little bit of milk was dribbling out of his mouth - which was pretty much as cute as it was when he was newborn.

Middle - Kale ate almost an entire plate of the kale chips we made!

Middle right - Mojito's! I had one on Saturday when my friend Emily from Hope Squared had lunch together and was inspired to make some at home! We used this recipe and it was auh-maa-zing!

Bottom left - Kale checks out the water during an evening walk. He wasn't very impressed about three seconds later when he got his shoe wet....


Bottom middle - Kale works on counting beans while I get dinner ready. This distracted him for about four minutes before the beans exploded around the living room.

Bottom right - Kale and I had a pretty awesome dinner date while Kris was away at his scuba diving lessons. Even though we miss Kris when he's not around, it is nice to have some one-on-one time with Kale.
