I told Saige not to make a mess to which she replied, "don'tcha worry girlfriend, I'll clean 'er up" #hmmm
I love a three year old with sass like that.
So this week Sara is asking others to share their latest obsessions - shopping edition. One day we asked Kale where mama and papa go when they leave the house and he thought this over and then said "papa go exercise. Mama go shopping." So obviously, this link up doesn't sound like something I would want to participate in at all......
A neutral peep-toe heel. I mean, I want them....but this means my toe nails will be visible during work hours. Which means I'd have to make an effort to keep 'em pretty - no fading turquoise polish. I don't know if I can commit to that. But my standard black work heels are just not going to work in the summer...I need to take the plunge to neutral tones. I know, I'm clearly a very risk-taking fashionista.
Early this year we re-did our living room in gray and white with the intention of adding some bursts of colour. Except now it's 6 months later and the only burst happening there is when Kale flies through on his plasma bike. I'm ready to take the leap and add some tangerine - did you know that's the 2012 colour of the year? And since Sara said we can make this list without giving our bank account any consideration, I'll take a couple of these throw pillows at $150 a pop.
Finding sandals for a toddler should not be as hard as it has been for us this summer. I don't ask for much - closed toe and a little bit of colour. Why don't they have these super cute 'see kai run' shoes at our local kids shoe store? Better question - why do I feel guilty for not buying shoes at our local kids shoe store just because I took one baby music class with the owner?!
Kris has been wanting an iPad for awhile, but I couldn't really get behind it. I mean, we both have iPhone's - aren't iPad's just slightly bigger versions? But I've been to a few conferences this year and pretty much everyone has one. I don't know if it's just that I want to be like all the cool kids, or I've actually been able to see how useful they are. I know Kale would probably never leave the house if we got one.
I was so ready for #30DayOfDresses. I even wore dresses for two weeks in May as a trial to make sure I could do it. But then I woke up this morning and it was COLD and I had literally had NO IDEA that May was over and I put pants on and........ugh, fail. I'm pretty sure this Holland Oats dress from ModCloth would get me back on track.
What are you obsessed with these days? Link up with Saige Wisdom at let us know!!!

That dress is beyond amazing. I want. I want. I want.
ReplyDeleteI love that shoe...but I am not a heal girl! I'm already really tall and I look like a goon walking in them! lol And the iPad...I will hopefully be getting on for school in a few months!
ReplyDeleteSince I'm pushing 5'4, heels should probably be my best friends, but I have to admit that I do prefer flats!
DeleteI love modcloth!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? It was hard to pick just one for those post!!
DeleteOh man, that pillow is fabulous! I actually made the cushion covers on my couch, and I used hem tape since I don't have a sewing machine. They turned out great and are holding up nicely. I bet you could totally make a pillow that looks like that one.
ReplyDeleteOh and that dress. So pretty.
I made a book sling for Kale with hem tape and it worked really well. I should do the same thing for pillows....I just get LOST looking for material, I love way too much of it!!
Deleteahh I totally forgot to iPad to my list - next time ;)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you were such a shorty!! haha... when I pick you up in my Land Rover for our 'take no prisoners' shopping spree, be sure to be wearing those nude heels (see above) so I don't look like Big Red next to pretty & petite Randalin.
P.S. - can you imagine spending $150 on a throw pillow?! even if I could, I wouldn't. They're probably made of some dry clean only material meaning my first drool nap would be the death of them.
Thanks for linking up "girlfriend"
I will probably need the nude heels and a step ladder to get in the Land Rover! haha.
DeleteI might as well just use your shopping list - and since you put it together for me I'll buy the shoes for Kale.
ReplyDeletep.s. I can't stop looking at that dress.
