Obsessions link-up

In the 7th grade I won a stuffed owl when my name was drawn from all the kids that participated in pizza day over the course of the year. I'm pretty sure that's the only time I've won a giveaway. I could be wrong, considering I have the world's worst memory. In fact, I'm not even sure it was an owl - it may have been an ostrich.

I mean, I understand that I don't win things because I never enter giveaways. Like, ever. I'm that woman that refuses to give her email address to the cashier at the Gap even though there is a chance I could win a $10,000 shopping spree. The logic on this one is sparse, so I won't even try to explain. I tend not to enter blog giveaways either - mostly because I run with a small-time blogger crew that don't tend to do giveaways. Also, most giveaways hate Canadians. At least that's what their shipping practices say in the small print.

So I must be pretty excited that one of my blogger buddies who happens to be CANADIAN, is doing a giveaway - right? You bet. So excited that I'm actually going to enter.

Here's the deal: Sara over at Saige Wisdom told me to blog about things I'm obsessed with, including something under $50 on Etsy and if I win - she'll buy it for me. I'm sure Sara is going to do some kind of boring random selection to pick the winner, but I'd like to remind her that all I've ever won in life is a stuffed owl. Or an ostrich. Either way, it's lame.

I'm seeing this giveaway as an opportunity to introduce a little tangerine to my living room. Ever since I talked about these pillows in my last obsession link-up, I've been obsessed with finding the perfect pillows for a reasonable price. Some people suggested I make my own to which I tell them - that is beyond my crafting ability. Way beyond. So when I spotted these on Etsy, I was all "these are the ones I'm going to win on Sara's giveaway!"
