THIS WEEKS THEMES:
Happy about, Searching for, Making, Feeling, Going

<div align="center"><a href="http://www.harvestingkale.com" title="Harvesting Kale"><img src="http://i47.tinypic.com/2zdufrk.gif" alt="Harvesting Kale" style="border:none;" /></a></div>
Kale is currently....
Searching for his jeep-truck, his green train, and his orange ball. Kale is at the stage where he needs to bring everything but the kitchen sink with him every time he leaves the house. I've learned to let him know well in advance that we'll be leaving soon so that he can run around the house and get all his little items. It's cute until we can't find something.....
Making tea! Kale is loving his new little tea set and is rocking his grace & courtesy. Tonight we were at Chapter's book store and a little girl was playing with a tea set and Kale asked her "can I have that, please? I need pour you tea, ok? Thanks!" I mean, he ripped it out of her hands while she was in the middle of playing with it - but STILL. He said please and thank you. Someone give the kid a star.
Feeling sad about the end of camp. Ok, he actually doesn't show any signs that he understands that camp will be over at the end of the week, but if he could - I know he'd be sad. Despite a bit of a rough start, Kale has really started to love his camp and his friends and teachers in the last three weeks.
Going crazy. Sometimes Kale appears to lose his mind and starts running around and shaking his head and being wild and I ask him "are you going crazy?" So now when he starts going a little nuts and I ask him to simmer down a little before someone (probably the cat) gets hurt - he says, "I just going crazy, mama." Oh. Is that all?
I am currently....
Happy about the fact a year of lunch-time pick up's is coming to an end. Kind of. Since Kale started a half-day Montessori program last September, I have picked him up during my lunch break and brought him back home to meet my mother-in-law, who watches him in the afternoon. Kale's school is on the other town and so by the time I pick him up and bring him home, I have maybe ten minutes to grab lunch before rushing back to work. However - being there to pick him up makes it worth it and I'm going to desperately miss seeing him in the middle of the day once he starts at his new school in September and is there for the full day. So - I'm happy the mad rush driving will be over, but am sure I'll miss it.
Making an effort to take more family photo's. My new goal is to take one picture of the three of us every Sunday. Even if I'm in my jogging shorts and haven't washed my hair (which is my usual Sunday look) - I'm taking a picture.
Feeling the beginnings of a migraine. Which explains why this post is lacking any spice...
Going camping! I'm a bit sad about the lack of camping we've done this summer, but I suppose we made up for it with extra trips to my parents house. However, the summer isn't over yet and this morning I booked a four day camping trip at Grundy Lake for Kris, Kale and I.
YOUR TURN! Let us know what you're up to and don't forget to link up!
NEXT WEEK'S THEMES: missing, craving, anticipating, thinking about, singing

"I just going crazy, mama." That is awesome. When my girls get a little wild, they say, "two babies nuts." Cracks me up every time!
ReplyDeleteI hope the migraine goes away and your day gets better!
You'll love Grundy Lake - it's gorgeous up there. But watch out for bears. There were 15 active bears in the area when we were there a few weeks ago. I mean if you are wary of bears. Have a blast were headed back up to Grundy for the long weekend.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteI nominated you for the Liebster Award. If you want to take part, you can read about it on my blog.
