THE DEAL:
Use our themes or use your own - just let us know what you're "currently" up to!
Be sure to visit the other blogger's that are linking up and say hello - especially to my amazing co-host Lindsey at Ot & Et.
THIS WEEKS THEMES:
VISITING, WORKING, CREATING, LOVING, MISSING
I love this link up and the little community it's created. I think it's great that there is a group of us that do this regularly and it's fun to see all the similarities and differences that are going on in our lives. Also, the interpretations of the themes? Awesome. It's equally great when new people link up and I find new bloggers to follow. For the most part, this link up is good times. However...I've got to say - it's pretty annoying when people link up their random posts. I know we leave the "rules" pretty flexible and suggest you can use your own themes, but I think the format and the intention of the link up is pretty easy to pick up. So....can we just agree to ONLY link up our 'currently' posts? There are easily a thousand other link ups out there that are all about random posts, so I don't really feel like I'm putting you out.
Kale is currently......
VISITING with my parents and aunt and uncle. I guess that technically, they visited him since they came to our house, but I'm pretty sure that still counts. It was the first time we'd seen them since Christmas and we finally got to give them their Christmas gifts (if you follow me on instagram you might remember that we realized we forgot to bring the gifts two hours into our trip to my parents on Christmas day). Kale had a pretty awesome time making cupcakes with my mom and Aunt Joyce.
WORKING on growing - and doing a pretty good job. He could barely touch the ground on the balance bike we bought him at Christmas and now he's pushing off with a flat foot. He's also reminding me all the time that he's growing - unless I mention that something he wants to do is just for little guys. Then he's all, "oh I'm getting smaller now."
CREATING some pretty elaborate stories. There are is a little play farm in Kale's class and they rotate the animals at the farm from different continents. I can tell that they're learning about animals from Africa right now because today he was looking out the window, talking away and when I asked him who he was talking to, he said "shhhh! I'm talking to the gazelle's, mama!" He also told me that one of his classmates fed a lion. School must be so awesome.
LOVING having his papa home. Kris is off work right now and Kale is loving it! Having his papa home means sleigh rides to school and wagon rides home, extra time outside, and someone to hang out with in the morning while I'm getting ready.
MISSING his nana. As much as Kale loves having more time with Kris, he does miss seeing his nana every day after school. We were also at her house on the weekend and she had a couple new trucks for him, so he's been desperate to get back for a visit.
I am currently.........taking this week off :)
NEXT WEEKS THEMES:
EATING, DRINKING, LISTENING, READING, THINKING

I'm so glad you said something about the random posts being linked. I love reading everybody's currently posts (I look at all of them each week), and I'm always let down when I click on a picture and land on something that isn't even close to currently.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how great Kale's stories are. My girls have been story telling machines lately, and I can't get enough!
I kinda love how you put you are currently taking this week off, though I will miss your answers.
ReplyDeleteI want to watch gazelles!
I don't know what it is about Wednesday nights, but I'm always exhausted and have a million things to do - including writing a currently post! I totally needed this week off, but it's nice to know my answers are missed :)
DeleteUmm. School does sound awesome. I want to feed a lion. I also want to link up. But B-Ho has me sucked into scouring etsy. Nursery sites. And sleeping. So much sleeping!!!!!! Miss you. Xo
ReplyDeleteHaha Kale's school must be really awesome, indeed. I love the first photo of this post!
ReplyDeleteRest away mama, Kale's week sounds like enough busy-ness for the both of you! RE: your note about linky trolls, haha fair enough! But also, ahem, we've been post-bombed again. Yup.
ReplyDeletehahaha. I love Kale, he's just too awesome (and his school sounds pretty awesome too - I wish we had lions at College, all we have is a terrifying Grizzly Bear Mascot that walks around and petrifies me!)
ReplyDelete-Kelsea
I'm glad you said something about the random post link ups! That was super irritating!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Kale is having fun at school. I love when kids start making up stories.
I LOVE that family picture! There's a realness to it that I just love.
ReplyDeleteAlso SO glad to hear I'm not the only one annoyed by random posts linked up. I thought maybe I was being all anal and cranky. Ha!
