needing, reading, wearing, picturing, expecting
We are currently NEEDING some quality family time. Kris has been working 15 hour days lately - working his regular day, coming home for a quick dinner, and then leaving to do a side job until well after midnight. I've been working extra too and so when Kris is home (and I'm feeling well enough), I've been trying to squeeze in as much time as possible in front of my computer. What it all boils down to is that the three of us haven't spent much time together lately and it's giving me the sads. Kris should be wrapping up his side job tonight, so there's actually a chance that we might have a conversation that's longer than five minutes and the three of us might actually do something FUN.
Kale is currently READING books about space. Lately Kris has been into space and so tonight Kale and I went and picked out a few special space books to read with his papa (once they actually get some time to spend together).
I am currently WEARING all my old maternity clothes. While I was committed to being a fashionable pregnant person this time around, the truth is, most of my maternity clothes are out of style. The only thing worse than feeling frumpy is actually looking frumpy. I need to step up my game.
Kale is currently PICTURING what life will be like in February once our new family member arrives. Sixty percent of what Kale says these days starts with "When your baby gets here we can......" Some of his idea's are pretty impractical, but lots of it sounds pretty awesome.
I am currently EXPECTING to find out the sex of this baby SOON. I won't be able to book my ultrasound until after I see the midwives next week, but considering I'm creeping up to the 20 week mark, I know it will be soon. I have long assumed that I will have two boys, but realize it's 50/50. I'm looking forward to finding out a little bit more about this little person!!
